On 23-25th May 2019, SEAMEO CECCEP held an FGD event focusing on formulating research instrument for Scoping Study. This event established one step closer in completing the bigger picture : an ASEAN Regions research on ECCE and Parenting.

SEAMEO CECCEP is an institution that established as a proof that ASEAN’s government has a priority to improve the quality of Southeast Asian’s human resources. As a region centre, SEAMEO CECCEP initiated to do a research called “Scoping Study on ECCE and Parenting in Southeast Asia. The objective of the research is to do a mapping of current condition on ECCE and Parenting service in SEA countries. The mapping process is legitimately needed to make accurate decisions on intervention programs that will be done in the future.

In the FGD, SEAMEO CECCEP and our stakeholders discussed about essential keywords and formulate them to make a sharp instrument for the research. Included as participants in this FGD : academicians from UPI and IPB; government as represented by General Directorate of ECCE and Parenting from Ministry of Education and Culture; from NGO represented by World Bank and ARNEC; and other practitioners.
