Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed, Director of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) said that, “New Friend Means New Investment. Having Many Friends means Having Many Investments”. Therefore, SEAMEO CECCEP has been looking for new partner to improve collaboration in education especially for ECCE and Parenting.
On Thursday, 10 June 2021, the Director of SEAMEO CECCEP and the dean of the UGM vocational school, Dr.ing Ir Agus Maryono signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The dean of the UGM vocational school said that the vision of Universitas Gadjah Mada, as a pioneer campus of superior and innovative national universities, is to serve the interests of the nation and humanity which is inspired by the nation’s cultural values based on Pancasila. The collaboration between SEAMEO CECCEP and Universitas Gadjah Mada was built to improve research and development, capacity bulding, as well as advocacy and partnership in early childhood education and parenting.
Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed. stated hat SEAMEO as an organization has a vision to increase regional understanding and cooperation in the field of education. In addition, SEAMEO is aiming to advance science and culture for a better quality of life in Southeast Asia. SEAMEO CECCEP has collaborated with both national and regional-scale institutions.
SEAMEO CECCEP is implementing cooperation and partnerships both at the national and international levels as a real step in affirming the identity to improve sustainable human resources in Southeast Asia. Therefore, SEAMEO CECCEP’s mission is to conduct research that supports advocacy and capacity building among stakeholders in early childhood education and parenting.
