SEAMEO CECCEP Celebrates 4th Anniversary

Sunday, 25 July 2021 The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP) celebrates its 4th anniversary online. The 4th anniversary was greeted with joy by the director of SEAMEO CECCEP Dr.Dwi Priyono M.Ed, staff and the wider community. Many prayers have come, both from domestic partners and foreign partners.

The SEAMEO CECCEP anniversary event was attended by Ir. Hendarman, M.Sc. Ph.D as Head of the Bureau of Public Relations and Cooperation. Also present were Drs. Abu Khaer, M.Pd as Head of the Centre for the Development and Empowerment of Kindergarten and PLB Educators and Education Personnel. Prof. Fasli Jalal as the rector of the Indonesian Islamic Hospital Foundation (YASRI), Gatot Priowirjanto the Coordinator of the SEAMEO Centre and the Board of Directors (BOD) of SEAMEO CENTERS Indonesia also celebrated the anniversary of SEAMEO CECCEP.

On the 4th anniversary of SEAMEO CECCEP held a joint prayer led by Dr. Arwan, M.Pd, “Hopefully SEAMEO CECCEP will continue to strive to improve sustainable human resources in the Southeast Asia region, especially for early childhood and early childhood education and parenting stakeholders,” said Arwan

“Hopefully SEAMEO CECCEP can make a good contribution to issues of early childhood education and parenting. The hope is to improve the quality in the field of research that supports advocacy and capacity building. Able to build a partnership network of policy makers, professionals and practitioners, especially in the field of early childhood education and parenting,” Said Hendarman.

On the other section the director of SEAMEO CECCEP expressed his gratitude and thanks for the presence of the invited guests, “we ask for your blessing that SEAMEO CECCEP can provide benefits for Indonesia and the center of 10 ASEAN countries to be better in developing trust,” said Dwi.

The highlight of SEAMEO CECCEP’s 4th Anniversary celebration also featured a virtual creative video competition which was attended by 156 participants from Southeast Asia. This creative video competition is expected to be able to develop the creativity of teachers in Southeast Asia in advancing early childhood education and parenting.

The peak of SEAMEO CECCEP’s 4th anniversary celebration should be a moment to strengthen steps and intentions in building a better Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region. The consistency and contribution of SEAMEO CECCEP is needed in developing the quality of early childhood education and parenting now and in the future.
