Supporting the Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), SEAMEO CECCEP Collaborated with the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.

SEAMEO CECCEP is a center for research, advocacy, and capacity building in early childhood education and parenting that supports the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. On August 30, 2021, SEAMEO CECCEP has established a partnership with the Indonesian Education University. The cooperation is stated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The event was attended by Dr. Rudi Susiliana. M.Si is the Dean of the Faculty of Education and staff of early childhood education lecturers, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI).

To support one of the independent learning programs for independent campuses, SEAMEO CECCEP opens up wide opportunities for universities to work together in creating and building innovations and supporting Merdeka Campus. SEAMEO CECCEP Director, Dr. Dwi Priyono welcomed the cooperation between the two.

“I am very happy to work with UPI in supporting the MBKM program. The Capacity building division the results of research in the field to jointly make modules. Through this module, it can be applied in Indonesia as well as in the Southeast Asian region. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as materials to help teachers in Southeast Asia,” said Dwi.

“We support SEAMEO CECCEP’s plan to inseminate research results from the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) to be used as training or training that can be disseminated. I also thank you for facilitating the MBKM program for UPI students. Through this MoU, it is hoped that we can cooperate and help each other in realizing the program at SEAMEO CECCEP. In the end, this collaboration can improve the quality of education in Indonesia and continue the existing collaboration,” Said Rusdi.

In the future, through this collaboration, the relationship between SEAMEO CECCEP and FIP UPI will be stronger. This collaboration is the first step to improve the quality of education in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. SEAMEO CECCEP will continue to increase the quantity and quality of inter-institutional cooperation that has an impact on the development of superior resources and becomes a contribution to the community, especially in the field of early childhood education and parenting.
