Teachers held responsible for the vision and mission of education in general and the learning process in particular. Teachers must also be able to act as educational actors, namely as observators, motivators, facilitators, as well as evaluators. The task of the teacher is to help students to be able to adapt to the various challenges of life and the pressures that develop in children. Seeing this, teachers need to improve their competence.
Furthermore, Dr. Elis Rosdiawati (Acting Director of SEAMEO CECCEP) welcomed the visit made by the Bunda PAUD and the Head of the Education Office. She encouraged the support in improving the quality of teachers, especially in Indonesia. In accordance with the vision and mission. CECCEP will continue to support and improve teacher capacity to develop quality early childhood education and parenting in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
The discussion session also held the topic on the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers in order to achieve a successful learning process. Parents must actively direct and assist early childhood in the process of honing, caring and nurturing. Educators and parents are learning resources and teaching partners. Educators and parents must be productive in improving their teaching and parenting abilities. On the other hand, parents can enrich teaching content with resources at home, including effective communication that creates attachment, trust, and a sense of security, as well as fun. Through effective communication will build communication skills, reason, listen, and invite children to think critically.
Let’s continue to improve in the field of education, for a more advanced Indonesia!
