SEAMEO CECCEP Initiative Collaboration Programmes with State University of Malang, Indonesia

In order to build human capacity in Indonesia and other SEAMEO Members Countries SEAMEO CECCEP has initiative collaboration with Non Formal Education study program, Education Faculty of State University of Malang. On Friday, June 25, 2021 SEAMEO CECCEP has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Faculty of Education, State University of Malang.

This Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by the Director of SEAMEO CECCEP, Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed. and the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Malang State University, Prof. Dr. Bambang Budi Wiyono, M.Pd. The dean welcomed Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed, SEAMEO CECCEP director and his staff. The dean also expressed his gratitude for initiative cooperation between Non Formal Education (NFE) and SEAMEO CECCEP in the future.

“Through Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) it is expected that be able to strengthen collaboration between both institutions. This collaboration trough collaborative research, community services, advocacy and partnerships in the field of non-formal and informal education. Through cooperation we expected to improve human resources, provision of expertise, seminars, workshops and focus group discussions,” said Bambang Budi Wiyono.

In that Opportunity, Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed introduced the vision, mission and goals of SEAMEO CECCEP as a SEAMEO Regional Centre to conduct research that promote advocacy and capacity building for ECCE and Parenting stakeholders.

“Non-Formal Education students are expected to grow mindset in an effort to develop various forms of non-formal and informal education. Considering that competency in society 5.0 requires a high adaptability in order to keep up with the rapid development of technology,” said Dr. Dwi Priyono, M.Ed.

The Director of SEAMEO CECCEP also conveyed the role of SEAMEO CECCEP in the field of NFE in a public lecture with the title “SEAMEO CECCEP’s contribution in building networks and developing the NFE program”. He also invited all the students to play a significant role in community empowerment both through non-formal and informal institutions to respond the current issues that occur in community, including the fields of early childhood education and family education.
