SEAMEO CECCEP as a regional organization that continuously strives to improve human resource capacities, collaborates with Universitas Tunas Pembangunan. On 11 June 2021, the director of SEAMEO CECCEP Director signed an MoU with the rector of UTP, Prof. Dr. Ir Tresna Priyana Soemardi SE.MS in the UTP Hall.
Dr. Dwi Priyono, M. Ed as director of SEAMEO CECCEP continues to carry out various programmes and projects aimed at developing human capacity in Southeast Asia. This programmes are carried out to create a better quality of life in the field of early childhood education and parenting.
“Early childhood education must receive special attention so that a systematic and organized effort and research are needed to convince the society, parents and decision makers that early childhood education is a very strategic program for the nation’s future”, said Dwi.
Prof. Tresna Priyana Soemardi stated that Tunas Pembangunan University has a mission to develop and carry out community service to participate in solving the nation’s problems. This collaboration hopefuly will have an impact on all elements of the university.
“It is important to strengthen early education holistically where early childhood needs to be given various stimuli, from art to technology. So, parents can direct their interests and talents when their children grow up. In addition, literacy skills for children must be strengthened from an early age,” said Tresna.
Through this collaboration, Universitas Tunas Pembangunan (UTP) and SEAMEO CECCEP will implement the cooperation that has been established in several fields. These fields include teachers’ capacity building, training, workshops, research, development, and modules.
